Dr. David Parrott UF: One of the Top 100 Higher Education Administrators

David Parrott is the current Higher Education Administrator at the University of Louisville. He has worked as a university administrator for over eight years and previously at the University of Arkansas, where he was the Vice President for Administration and Finance. Parrott also worked as the Vice President for Administration, Finance, and Institutional Advancement at the UF. David Parrott has held several positions in government. 

 

He was a member of the Arkansas State Board of Education and the Arkansas State Board of Higher Education. David Parrott has been an active participant in higher education for many years. He has served on numerous boards, including the Association for Institutional Research, American College Personnel Association, and Association for Higher Education Administration (AHEA). he was named one of the top 100 higher education administrators by “The Chronicle of Higher Education.”

 

David Parrott is responsible for overseeing the university’s academic and political affairs. He is also responsible for coordinating the administrative process, including budgeting, personnel, and planning. David Parrott is also responsible for ensuring that the university meets its needs in education and research.

 

Higher education specialist David Parrott has received several awards and recognitions for his success and service to higher education. He has been recognized by “The Chronicle of Higher Education” as one of the country’s top 100 higher education administrators by the Association for Institutional Research as a Distinguished Service Award Recipient and by the Association for Higher Education Administration as a Distinguished Service Award Recipient. 

 

Parrott was also awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humanities from the University of Louisville. He works with faculty on curriculum matters relating to new initiatives or programs requiring modification for enhanced student success. David Parrott advises department chairs on the strategic management of their units, oversees the development of new academic offerings, and collaborates with faculty on grant proposals or syllabi revisions to improve student learning outcomes.
